Only 2 more weeks until the Sports Tech Research & Innovation Summit kicks off in our hometown, Ghent. The event preparations are in full swing and we’re more than excited to welcome you all here. If you’re curious about the other speakers and their topics, take a look at the Summit program. 

✅ A few practicalities:

• 🎪 We’ll be hosting our event in the Wintercircus. You can find detailed directions to the event venue on our travel page, as well as various info on accomodation and transportation. Please note that there is more than one entrance to the Wintercircus. We will be using the main entrance on Lammerstraat 13.
• ⏰ All keynotes, co-creation sessions and pitches will be held in the same room (the Auditorium). We ask all our speakers to be present at the Auditorium 15 min before it starts, where someone will assist you with the set-up of your presentation. 
• 🎤 If you are speaking in a co-creation session or giving a startup pitch, you need to send us your presentation at least 1 day in advance (send to info@strn.co).
• 🎤 If you are giving a keynote, you can choose: send us your presentation at least 1 day in advance, or bring your own laptop. Make sure you can connect with a hdmi port.
• 🎤 If you are leading a roundtable discussion, you need to bring your own laptop. The monitors in the roundtable room work with micro-usb cables only, so no hdmi.
• ⚠️ IMPORTANT news which just came in (from the venue): send us your slides in PowerPoint (.pptx) format, and use slides with ratio 16:9 (not 16:10). Configure the ratio before you make your slides, as your design will be altered (and very likely stretched out) if you change the ratio settings afterwards.

💬 Conversation Starter

We hope you can find value in attending the event, both as a speaker or panelist and as a participant. As you can see in the program, we have mostly chosen for interactive sessions. We've also foreseen enough time for group and 1-on-1 interactions. The Conversation Starter tool is there to facilitate the latter type of meetings. You should have received an invitation to this tool by email, please let us know if that is not the case. We strongly encourage you to create your profile and to start sending invitations for meetings soon.

👋 Informal meetup on Wednesday 18 Sept

If you're already in Ghent the day before the Summit starts, you can join us for an informal drink on Wednesday evening, 18 September. More info on where we're meeting will follow soon!
