After months of working and collaborating to shape this year's Sports Tech Research & Innovation Summit, the event is finally in sight! Only 4 more weeks and we’ll be welcoming you to our hometown, Ghent.

We feel very grateful to have gathered again such an interesting group of speakers, including yourself! So thank you in advance for your time and effort, it is much appreciated. If you’re curious about the other speakers and their topics, take a look at the Summit program. 

💪 Now onto the more practical side of things

You will soon (or already have) receive(d) a personal email from Kristof about your session (at what time it starts, what the format is, how it could lead to a tangible outcome,...). We ask all our speakers to be present in the auditorium 15 min before the session starts. Someone from the STRN team will assist you with the audio set-up.

For keynote speakers: if you are bringing your own slideshow, please bring your own laptop and make sure you can connect with a hdmi port. We want to avoid issues with slide design, video and sound which often happen when presentations are sent over email or dropped somewhere in a folder.

However, for the co-creation sessions in which 4-5 people take part, we'll collect the slides (maximum 5 slides each if possible) beforehand so we can smoothly transition between speakers before starting with the interactive part. More on that in the personal email from Kristof.

In two weeks from now, you will also receive an email with more detailed info about other event practicalities. If you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to contact us. 

🧑‍💻 Join our online preparation session!

In order to best prepare for the event, we're hosting an online session with all Summit speakers later this week, on Thursday 22 August (4 PM CEST). Please join if you can! The goal is to go through the program and make sure we're all aligned in terms of scope, format, etc. You can still register for the preparation session HERE if you didn't do so yet.

🤝 Easy networking? Here's how to

Like last Summit, we are using networking tool 'Conversation Starter' to make your networking experience as easy and valuable as possible.

You'll receive an email from Conversation Starter soon, in which you'll be asked to create and complete a profile. When you have done so, you'll be able to browse through the list of Summit attendees and schedule meetings with profiles that complement your needs.

🛌 Don't forget to book your stay!

One more thing: don’t wait too long to book your stay in Ghent if you haven’t done so already. We compiled a list of hotels that are located in the city center (and are about 15 min of walking from the venue) on the site.
