Only two more weeks until the first Sports Tech Research & Innovation Summit kicks off in our hometown, Ghent. The event preparations are in full swing and we’re more than excited to welcome you all here. The program has taken its final form now and we could not be happier with such an interesting group of speakers and topics! Take a look at what the Summit has in store for you. 

We’ll be hosting our event in WATT The Firms, not to be confused with WATT Factory, which is located at the other side of the park. You can find detailed directions to the event venue on our travel page, as well as various info on accomodation and transportation. Reminder: don’t wait too long to book your stay in Ghent if you haven’t done so already!

Conversation Starter

As you can see in the program, we have chosen to place a strong emphasis on group interaction during the sessions. We've also foreseen enough room in the program for 1-on-1 interactions. This is where Conversation Starter comes in handy: it is a tool that helps facilitate this type of meetings. You should have received an invitation email to this tool by now, please let us know if that is not the case. We strongly encourage you to create your profile and to start sending invitations for meetings.

Breakout sessions & Sport Science Laboratory visit

We ask all Summit attendees to register for the breakout sessions they want to follow. You can do so through this registration form (thank you to those who have already done this!). To be able to see and fill out the form, you need to be logged in with your STRN account.

In that same registration form you can sign up for the first Summit activity: the evening before the event (Tuesday 13th), you can join us for an exclusive visit at the Sport Science Laboratory - Jacques Rogge at Ghent University. The facility infrastructure is divided in two main sections: one is reserved for Exercise Physiology and one for Biomechanics and Motor Control of Human Movement. The research team is happy to show you around, explain their ongoing work and meet up for a drink afterwards in the sports bar next door.

We also want to remind you that your invoice needs to be paid prior to the start of the event.
