In a bit more than 2 months from now, the Sports Tech Research & Innovation Summit finally returns. And as we're in full preparation mode, here's everything you need to know about the event!

📌 Date & location

The Summit will take place from 19 - 20 September 2024. On Wednesday, September 18, we will host an informal meetup for those who have already arrived in Ghent.

The event venue is the iconic Wintercircus, a historic landmark in the city center of Ghent.

🎤 Program & speakers

The preliminary program is out and can be viewed or downloaded on the Summit section of our website. A list of confirmed speakers can be found there as well. We'll continue to prepare all sessions in detail in order to maximize the relevance and potential (longer term) outcome.

🎯 What will be different compared to many other conferences?

The event will blend the different perspectives (research, industry and the application side) in a unique way. This time, we'll explore the opportunities at the crossroads between the sports, health, and medical technolgy fields. Furthermore:

• our focus is on building solutions for the future: we’ll discuss research results from the past, but spend more time on strategies for real-life solutions (based on science) moving forward. 
• the event formats are focused on qualitative interactions: we'll limit the time for 1-way presentations and focus on co-creation sessions, round table discussions and 1 on 1 meetings.
• people first (vs information first): you'll know who's there, for which reasons and how + when to meet. Just as last time, we'll set up a Conversation Starter page through which you'll be able to book meetings based on mutual interests and needs. In the end, it's we, the people who innovate.
